Dr. Captain!!

Hey, all three of you who actually read this crap. I'm really bored, and I thought I would try to ease it with a little blogging. I really don't know what to say right now except that I'm bored, I'm sittin at home, and completely overcome with boredom. Casey is here, but he's asleep, because he has school tomorrow, and is actually trying to get good grades this year. I'm really not sure if he's trying harder because he cares, or because I said I would buy him an mp3 player when he got a report card with nothing lower than a B. Hey, whatever works! But don't worry, I told him he had to work to get it, and work to keep it, and the first bad report card he gets I'm giving the mp3 player to Jordan(Jordan's idea by the way). Anyway, I'm gonna switch gears a little bit, and say that I'm really, really excited about football season. I know it's kinda early, but I'm gonna pick the Eagles in the NFC and, either the Steelers, or the Colts in the AFC(I'm hoping Colts). In all reality, my team is the 49ers, but they're in somewhat of a rebuilding stage, and they're coach is an idiot. So, I've found myself rooting for numbers two and three. Number two being the colts, who, growing up in Indiana you hear alot about, but that wasn't what did it for me(Josiah), for me it was always about the character of their stars. From Jim Harbaugh, to Peyton Manning (second best quarterback of all time, next to Joe Montana), and Marshall Faulk, to Marvin Harrison. They're stars have always had a strength of character that was only matched by guys like, Jerry Rice, Joe Montana, Dan Marino, Walter Payton, Emmit Smith, Reggie White, Marcus Allen, Don Shula, Barry Sanders, Vince Lombardi, etc. Number 3 being the Chicago Bears, who I grew up watching, and listening to my Dad yell at every Sunday. The love I have for this team, is more in honor of my father(God rest his soul), than my personal adoration for the team. Bottom line is, I LOVE FOOTBALL! And I agree, Josiah, that liking a team simply because you live in the state they represent, is a fairly weak reason for such a strong loyalty. I say, like them because they play with respectable characteristics, such as , heart, passion, courage, intensity, and an absolute love for the game, instead of, the amount air time and endorsements they hold. Love and defend your team, because they are exactly that, "YOUR TEAM", and all will be well, with you and the fathers of the game who have gone on before us, and you can wear proudly and without shame(no matter if the record is under or above 500) the title of "DIE HARD FAN". That's all I got for now, so until next time, VIVE LE FOOTBALL!!!
